Kang Daniel has apologized for a mistake he made during the live finale of Mnet’s “Street Man Fighter.”
During the November 8 finale of the dance survival show, MC Kang Daniel took a moment to thank the sponsors of the program—but to viewers’ surprise, he named the wrong brand. While “Street Man Fighter” is sponsored by Seagram’s sparkling water, Kang Daniel mentioned rival brand Trevi instead.
After wrapping up the final battle, Kang Daniel remarked, “I’d also like to thank our sponsor. Trevi tastes great!” He then added, “I’m just joking. But I’m half-sincere.”
After the incident attracted attention online, Kang Daniel’s agency KONNECT Entertainment officially apologized for his remarks on November 9, stating, “He said the wrong brand by mistake.”
“Because the passion on the set of the final round was so heated, it seems he momentarily got confused,” they continued. “We apologize to the viewers and to the sponsor.”
